Everyone on the mat

“A great environment filled with knowledgeable instructors and fellow students that enjoy helping you improve.”
Three programs, one mat, and classes split by age from five years old up. Nobody here does only one thing.

Gi and no-gi, from age five to adults. Warm-up, drilling, then live rolling.

Kids from age five
Back from the Windsor Open
Classes are split by age, not thrown together. Jiu jitsu and karate both run 5 to 7, 8 to 10, and 11 to 14. Your six year old trains with other six year olds.
The ones who want to compete go to tournaments like the Windsor Open and come home with medals. The ones who do not, do not. Both are fine, and nobody here confuses the two.
Who's on the mat

The adults all train in the same class. On the mat, women mostly pair up with each other, so your first roll is not a stranger twice your size. Some weekends and holidays there is a women's only open mat, though it moves around and there is no fixed schedule for it.

When
This is an evening school. Nothing happens here at eleven in the morning. It happens when Kingsville is done for the day, which is the only time most people can actually train.
Every class, split by age, is on the schedule. Kids start at five years old. If you are not sure which night suits you, call and the team will tell you.

Knowledgeable instructors, along with a very welcoming group. If you're in the area and interested at all take the time to come in and try a class.
Great place, great group, great instruction! I've enjoyed kickboxing, no-gi jiu-jitsu, gi jiu jitsu, and women's self defense here.
Great teachers can't ask for more. Kids love it and parents love it.
Sensei Chad is excellent with the children, enforcing discipline and self control while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
Very fun yet very disciplined. They treat you like family.
Great atmosphere at this gym, thanks for the hospitality. Will definitely make it back to train.
My son has been going here for almost a year specifically to improve his gross motor skills. Sensei Chad works very well with children.
My grandson has been in this program since he was 4 years old. He is now 7 years old.
Your first night
Five. Jiu jitsu and karate both run 5 to 7, 8 to 10, and 11 to 14. Your six year old trains with other six year olds, not with teenagers.
For jiu jitsu, yes, in white, black or blue. Not on your first night though. Come and try it first, and ask the team about a gi once you know you are staying.
No. The adult evening classes are full of women, two of the three coaches are women, and some weekends and holidays there is a women's only open mat.
Then you are normal. Beginners are the whole point of a school. Nobody here is going to test you on day one.
The first two classes are free. After that it depends on who is training and how often, so the team will tell you straight when you ask. There is no sign-up fee and no contract to read.
47 Pearl St East, Kingsville. Monday to Friday, five until nine. Saturday is the competition team only. It is an evening school: nothing happens here at eleven in the morning.
First two classes, free
No sign-up fee, no contract to read, nothing to cancel. Train and see whether the room suits you. Most people know by the second night.
This is the room, behind these words. Shoes come off at the bench by the door. That is the whole ritual.
